May 29, 2010 "Fish Fry and Land Fundraiser".
The proceeds from this event are to help us pay for the land we acquired in 2006 and in the building of our "little" town. Our goal is to have a complete Old-Time town and Train Station. To date we have acquire the Shelbina Second Baptist Church, which we have renamed NEMO Old Threshers Church, "A Church For Everyone" and have the church set on our land. We have also acquired the North Fork School House with the goal of having it set and opened to the public during our 2010 show. In 2007 we unveiled our new train. A 1923 Alco Steam Train. In 2008 we were able to acquire enough rails and ties to set the train on our land at the east border of the fairgrounds and have opened a small museum. At this time we are searching for more rail, ties, signals, anything we could use to build a railroad around our land.
