May 23rd, 2009 we held our annual "Fish Fry and Land Fundraiser". 

A good time was held by all. Glad we did not have the rain like last year. The fish fry was a huge hit again. Everyone enjoyed the tractor ride which went out to the lake, through town and by both nursing homes for everyone to see all the nice equipment.

Had beautiful weather for the horseshoe tournament, horse pull, and Texas hold'em tournament.

The silent auction had a lot of really nice donated items. However, I believe the most fun was had watching the live auction with two of our members being auctioneers. 

We would like to thank everyone who helped in any way with our annual fund raiser. There are so many to thank I know I would forget someone. 

So, THANK YOU ALL!!

The proceeds from this event are to help us pay for the land we acquired in 2006 and

 in the building of our "little" town. 

Our goal is to have a complete Old-Time town and Train Station. 

To date we have acquire the Shelbina Second Baptist Church, which we have renamed NEMO Old Threshers Church, "A Church For Everyone" and have the church set on our land. We have also acquired the North Fork School House with the goal of having it set and opened to the public during our 2010 show. 

In 2007 we unveiled our new train. A 1923 Alco Steam Train.  In 2008 we were able to acquire enough rails and ties to set the train on our land at the east border of the fairgrounds and have opened a small museum.  At this time we are searching for more rail, ties, signals, anything we could use to build a railroad around our land.
